HERMAN DENEUT, 70, SUCCUMBS AT HOSPITAL

Herman DeNeut, 70, died unexpectedly at Holland Hospital Friday evening after suffering a heart attack at his home, 69 West 32nd st.

Mr. DeNeut had lived in Holland since 1924, coming from Grand Rapids. In 1931, he became affiliated with the Electrolux Vacuum Cleaner Co., after working for Goodyear Tire Co., for 18 years.

He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church. The DeNeuts had celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary last November.

Surviving are the wife, Gertrude Beckman DeNeut; a daughter Mrs. Ira Antles of Holland; three grandchildren; four brothers, Homer L., Earl and Thomas of Grand Rapids and Willard of Indianapolis, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Punches of Grand Rapids.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nibbelink-Notier Funeral Chapel, the Rev. John Hains officiating. Burial will be at Graafschap Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral chapel Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

The marriage of Miss Gertrude Beckman of Holland and Herman DeNeut of this city took place Wednesday evening in Reelman's hall on Grandville Avenue. The ceremony was performed at 8:30 by Rev. Herbert McConnell of Smith Memorial church, in the presence of 175 relatives and friends. The bride was attended by Miss Grace Cook of Holland. Frank Engle was best man. A wedding supper followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. DeNeut will reside at 149 Wealthy avenue.
