Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Island Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Metzger Abbott; one sister, Shelvia A. Harris; and two brothers, Thomas G. Abbott and Roy N. Abbott.
The family will receive friends Monday night from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the J.M. White Funeral Home.
