Center Point Newspaper, July 12, 1894 - Abraham Morgan was born Apr 15, 1822 in Butler Co., Ohio. Moved with his parents to Indiana in 1832 and to Illinois 1834. Was married to Susan Chambers in Muscatine county Iowa, March 3, 1842. In the fall of 1842 he moved to this vicinity where he lived till his death June 29, 1894, aged 72 yrs. 2 months and 14 days. Of his 9 children three only are now living. His eldest son was a soldier for the Union and died in service in Missouri.
