Robert Jackson Firth, 84, died at 8:10 o'clock Saturday evening at the family residence. 3570 Ogden avenue. Mr. Firth was born in Yorkshire, England. March 29,1847 the son of Matthew and Mary Jackson Firth. He came to America in 1865. In 1855 he moved to South Weber and was married to Francis Young. He lived in South Weber the remainder of his life, until four years ago when he came to Ogden. Surviving are his widow and his following children: Mrs. Harry Hamden, Roy; Mrs. Robert Hamden, Ogden; Bert Firth and Earl Firth, of Tremonton; Mrs. F.R. Gaines of Salt Lake; William Firth of Layton; Vernita Firth of Ogden; Joe Firth of Roy; 19 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 o'clock Tuesday at the Fourteenth ward with Bishop J M Harbertson presiding. Friends may call at the home 3570 Ogden Ave. Monday afternoon and evening and Tuesday until time of services. Internment will be made in the Ogden City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist and Sons. Published in the Ogden Standard Examiner 12/6/1931.
