Jeffrey Blane Culp, age 46, of Calvert City, KY, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at his residence in Calvert City, KY. Mr. Culp was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and previously employed by Mid America Machine in Mayfield. Jeffrey was an avid fisherman, duck hunter, and former member of Ducks Unlimited.

He was known for being a jokester who brought a smile to so many faces. Jeffrey fought hard against his illness, and had the help of so many family members who loved him dearly. His wife, Stephanie, always took great care of him when he needed it most. He will be greatly missed by all of his family who have such fond memories of the amazing man that he was.

He is survived by his wife: Stephanie (Walker) Culp; mother: Robbie (Powers) Culp, Sharpe, KY; two sisters: Gloria Mathis, husband Steve, Sharpe, KY, Glenda Russell, husband Ricky, Sharpe, KY; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father: Billy Eugene Culp and his grandparents: Ray and Jewell Irvan Powers and Bill and Lena Phelps Culp.

Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 12, 2010, Rev. Jimmy Franks, Rev. Harold Council, and Rev. Topper Council officiating. Interment will be at Fooks Cemetery, Benton, KY. Friends may call between the hours of 4:00 and 8:00 p.m on Thursday. Online condolences may be given at www.collierfuneralhome.com.
