FORT WORTH - Bobby Eugene Choate , 71, a retired Southwestern Bell switchman, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 24, 2002, in Fort Worth after a courageous battle with leukemia.
Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Bobby was born Dec. 28, 1930, in Fort Worth. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He graduated from Paschal High School in 1950 and served in the Army during the Korean War. Bobby was a devout Christian and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid organic gardener and a gourmet cook. He will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Eiland Choate ; mother, Mary Pauline Choate ; and brother, Jack Charles Choate .
