Oliver Hazard Venable is the son of Oliver Hazard Perry Venable, Sr., and his second wife, Dovie Frances Thirlkill. There was already a OHP Venable, Jr., therefore, the name Perry was not given this Oliver. His sister, Bessie Idavee Venable Murray Whited, is buried in the same plot with him. His brother, Noah Eugene "Gene" Venable, is buried at Valhalla Memorial Park, N. Hollywood, CA. The parents divorced about 1909 when the children were very young and the father died in 1913. I have been told that the mother is buried in this cemetery and if so, I have not found it. Perhaps it is unmarked or illegible. BVP

9 Feb 1950 Birmingham, Jefferson Co., Al. Marriage to Alline Swansey, ended in divorce unknown date. No children this issue.
