Last rites for Mrs. Albert V. Goodknight, 63, pioneer, who died at her home, 605 N. 3rd Monday were held from the Baptist church at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Daisy Annette Hamilton was born at Sparta, Ky., Aug. 25, 1883. She accompanied her parents to the Chattanooga community in 1902, which remained her home until 1944 when the family came to Frederick. She was married to Albert V. Goodknight Oct. 19, 1904, to which union seven children were born, the oldest son dying in infancy. Another son, John, was killed July 2, 1944, while serving in the army in India.
Her husband and these children survive: Mrs. Lucile Phelps, Manitou; Howard Goodknight, Frederick; Mrs. Florence Barnett, Davidson; George Goodknight, Chattanooga; and Arthur Goodknight, recently discharged from the army. Other survivors include five brothers and three sisters.
Burial was in Frederick cemetery.
