This Indenture made and entered into the first day of October 1825 between Daniel Stockton and Betsey his wife of Kentucky State and County of Barren of the one part and Newberry Stockton of said state and county of the other part ... Daniel Stockton and Betsey his wife for and in consideration of four hundred dollars ... sold … unto said Newberry Stockton all the rights and title which said Daniel as one of the Heirs and legatees of Daniel Stockton dec'd of said County has in the following tract of land in said county containing ninety one acres more or less … to a conditional line that was the said Daniel Stockton dec'd and Thomas Stockton made in his lifetime of said Daniel … also said Daniel Stockton's interest in one other tract of twenty two acres a part of said Daniel Stockton dec'd … to Newberry Stockton dec'd … said two tracts of land to the said Newberry Stockton and his heirs forever and the said Daniel Stockton and Betsey his wife … with the exception only of them being subject to the claim of Susannah Stockton who has her third in the same for life.
