Mary was born in New York state and came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1854. Her father's name was Daniel Frazier and her mother's name before her marriage was Ann Lattimore. They were both born in England and came to the United States shortly after their marriage. They settled in New York state, where they lived for some years. In 1854 they removed to a farm in St. Croix county, Wisconsin, where the father died at about fiftyfour years.
