Nicholas Baas, 68, former resident of Holland, was found dead in his home in Grand Rapids, Thursday.
He is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacobus Baas of Holland.
Occupants of the house discovered the body in a chair. Death was attributed to a heart attack and he had been dead about 10 hours, according to the Kent county coroner.
Baas had been a flagman fort he C & O railroad fort he last three years. He moved to Grand Rapids from Holland 18 years ago.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Maggie Yskes and several nieces and nephews, all of Holland.
