William Duey, a real estate man living at 792 Melrose street (sic), Harrisburg, was accidentally killed by his own gun while hunting near Greason this morning. Two sons were with him when the fatality occurred. In going over a fence the gun carried by Duey, twelve gauge, accidentally discharged, the full load entering Duey's face. He died almost instantly. The body was removed to a farm house and Acting Coroner John L. Boyer, of Carlisle, was summoned. He did not deem an inquest necessary as the facts were very plain.

The accident occurred at the farm of John Dyarman back of Greason. A Harrisburg undertaker conveyed the remains to the Duey home. Duey was 52 years old.

He and his sons left home early this morning in an automobile.

William M. Duey of Harrisburg, who was killed near Greason yesterday when his gun discharged as he was climbing over a fence, was 52 years old. With him at the time of the sad occurrence were his sons, Martin and Marlin. They, and his wife and daughter, Mrs. Jacob King, are the survivors. He was employed in the realty office of George W. Jacobs, in Harrisburg. Mr. Jacobs is a former Carlisler.

Duey was using a double-barreled shotgun and it is thought that when he stepped on the fence rail the jar fired one barrel, the concussion of which caused the second charge to go off. The full charge struck Duey in the face and he died almost instantly.
