ABRAHAMSON

Walter G. Abrahamson, the fifth child of August and Fredricka Abrahamson, was born in Lucas County, Iowa July 25, 1892 and passed away June 4, 1974 at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital at the age of 81 years, 10 months and 11 days.

He grew to young manhood in Lucas County and attended Lucas County schools. As a young man he became engaged in farming. After a number of years he purchased a garage in Williamson where he worked as a mechanic for several years. He later operated a service station in Williamson as long as his health permitted.

He had lived at the Bell Rest Home the past four years and eight months and during the last three weeks of his life had been a patient at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital.

Walter was preceded in death by his father and mother, two brothers, Charles and Manuel, and two sisters, Laura and Esther. Walter never married and lived at home and cared for his aged mother.

He leaves to mourn his passing one sister-in-law, Cynthia Abrahamson, 22 nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. H. Morton at 1:30 p.m., Friday, June 7, 1974, at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
