Miss Mary Bisheimer, a resident of 416 West Third, died late Wednesday night at Geary Community Hospital at the age of 79. Miss Bisheimer suffered a broken hip in a fall Aug. 17 and had been in the St. John's Hospital in Salina until being transferred to Geary Community Hospital last Friday. She became seriously ill on Sunday.


She was born Jan. 31, 1890 in Wamego, the daughter of the late John and Susanna Bisheimer and came to Junction City when she was three months old.


She started to work at the Rockwell store in 1907 and later worked at the Cole's store, retiring when the store was closed.


Surviving her is one sister, Mrs. Lena Hartshorn of Junction City. Another sister, Miss Belle Bisheimer, preceded her in death last Wednesday, Sept. 3.


The body is at the Johnson Funreal Home, where friends can call from 7 to 9 Friday evening. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Xavier's Church with Msgr. Thomas Keogan officiating. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Mary's Cemetery.


Pallbearers will be Vincent Zumbado, Richard Dixon, James Dixon, Robert Carroll, Joseph Bingham, Fred Bramlage.
