MRS. MINNIE JUSTUS
Mrs. Minnie Hefner Justus, 92, of Kanuga Road, died Thursday afternoon in a Hendersonville hospital after a long illness.
Mrs. Justus was a lifelong resident of Henderson County, and the widow of Franklin Curtus Justus. She attended Judson College and Asheville Normal School, was active in church work, and was one of the founders of Jones Gap Baptist Church.
Surviving are four sons, Hobson Volney, George, Charles and F. C. Justus Jr., of Hendersonville; three daughters, Mrs. Edythe Cox, Mrs. Geneva Wright and Mrs. Ruby McCullough of Hendersonville; 15 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Valley Hill Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. C. H. Greene and the Rev. Carl Mintz will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will be pallbearers. The body will remain at Jackson Funeral Home until taken to the church an hour before services.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home; and otherwise will be at the home of a son, George Justus, at 310 Stepp Ave.
