Fontenot, 67, of Metairie died at 2:55 p.m. Thursday in Humana Hospital, Marksville.
He was a native of Ville Platte. He was the owner of Fontenot Pest Control in Pollock and a member of the Anchor Masonic Lodge No. 261 in Pollock.
Survivors include one son, Ira B. Fontenot of Pollock; one daughter, Patricia Usprich of Metairie; three brothers, Jules S. Fontenot of Pine Prairie, Thomas S. Fontenot of Zwolle and Currie S. Fontenot of Tioga; two sisters, Alma Arno of Hessmer and Earline Thompson of Pineville; and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Donald Fontenot, Lance Fontenot, Paul Usprich, Ira B. Fontenot, Joe Thompson and Steven Soileau.
