He attended school at Daykin. He married Doris Mae Williams on August 17, 1962 in Beatrice. He retired from his machinist job at Cushmans/Textron in 2002. He enjoyed woodworking, traveling, fishing, reading westerns and visiting with friends and neighbors. He loved his family and was very proud of his sons and grandchildren. He has been a member of Centenary United Methodist Church for 42 years and served as an usher for many years.
