The Wellington Leader August 15, 1968

Mrs. R. H. Eads, who made this county her home for 40 years before leaving in 1949, died Friday, Aug. 2 in Thomas Nursing Home. She lived in Pampa and Amarillo until 1985, when she returned here. From 1918 to 1949, she and the late Mr. Eads operated a produce house in Wellington, which at the time they closed it was one of the older firms here operated by one family. Mrs. Eads was the former Beulah Robhins, daughter of R.D. and Susan Robbins, she was born October 31, 1886 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was married to Robert H. Eads Dec. 28, 1903, at Minco, Okla., and they lived at Tuttle, Okla., before coming to the Aberdeen community in 1909. Mr. Eads preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1962. She was a charter member of the First Christian Church in Wellington. Survivors are three sons, Ernest H. Eads of Amarillo, Alph D. Eads of Wheeler, and B. B Eads of Pampa. Other survivors are three brothers and a sister: Boone Robbins of Fort Smith, Ark.; Dee Robbins of Garland; B. L. Robbins of Fayetteville, Ark.; and Mrs. Ruth Harrington of Frisco. There are five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Three children preceded her in death: Ralph Eads, Harvey Eads and Mrs. Austin Gammel.
