Austin Puckett
Funeral services for Austin Puckett, 70, were held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 26, 1981, from the White Oak Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Fulton officiated. Interment was made in the Sardis Church with Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton in charge of arrangements.
Puckett died unexpectedly Sunday night at Raleigh. He was a resident of Pearl for the past 27 years, and formerly lived in the While Oak Community In Smith County and was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church. He was employed as deliveryman for Service Drug Company before his retirement.
Survivors Include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Puckett, Pearl; two sons, Miley Puckett, Pearl, Kendall Huckett, Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Mrs. Max (Shirley) Baker, Pearl; one brother, Hershel Fuckett, Jackson; three sisters, Mrs. Ross (Essie) Harris, Mrs. R. B. (Esta) Richardson, and Mrs. Jane Moore, all of Jackson; twelve grandchildren and a number of nleces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Charles Puckett, Jerry Puckett, Norris Richardson, Arnold Richardson, Tim Thompson, and Wendell Moore.
