He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist.

Survived by one daughter - Brenda Palmer of Bakersfield, CA; three sons - Keith Bowen and Dean Bowen, both of Bakersfield, CA; Lloyd W. Bowen, Jr. of Columbus, KS; one sister - Evan Ainsworth of Bryson; nine grandchildren.
