Mr. Bowen was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a Grocery Store Clerk and a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Bowen attended the Newcastle and Graham public schools. He served in the US Armed forces for two years.
Survived by his wife; one son; one sister - Evon Ainsworth; one brother - Lloyd Bowen; his mother - Mrs. E.E Houchin of Graham; his father - Clarence Bowen of New Mexico.
