Wabasha County Farmer, 54, Dies

Alfred L. Schuchard, life-long Wabasha county farm resident, died yesterday in St. Mary's hospital where he had been a patient for about three weeks. He was 54 years old.

Born at Bremen December 8, 1886, he operated a farm near Hammond for the past several years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ella York, who he married at Wabasha January 28, 1910; a son, Arlen G. Schuchard, of Rochester, and a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Meline, also of Rochester. Four brothers and four sisters also survive. They are John of Haverhill, Frank of Rochester, William of Quill Lake, Canada, and Robert Schuchard of Rochester, Mrs. John Behrens of Browns Valley, Mrs. George Pretzer of Elgin, Mrs. John Martin of Eyota and Mrs. Laura Adler of Millville.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Ranfranz funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday with burial in Oakwood cemetery. Rev. Julius Lenz will conduct the services.
