Mrs Lillian Allen Shelly passed away December 22, 1955 at her home 1915 Midwick Dr., Altadena. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she had been a resident of Altadena 12 years. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Parker Fox of Altadena: three sons, Allen Parker Shelly of Denver, Colo.; Ralph Allen Shelly of Norborne, Mo.; and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Quiggin of Laurence, Kan. Services and interment will be held in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kan.

Mrs. Lillian Allen Shelly, 87, widow of Dr. E. T. Shelly, a former prominent resident of Atchison, died yesterday in Altadena, Calf., where she had made her home for several years with her daughter, Mrs. Parker Fox, and Mr. Fox.

Mrs. Shelly was born Dec. 19, 1868, in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Robert and Ester Keigley (sic) Allen, natives of the Isle of Mann. At an early age she came to Atchison with her parents.
She married to Dr. Edwin Taylor Shelly [28 Jun 1899 in Cleveland, Ohio], who was a prominent physician and obstetrician in Atchison. Dr. Shelly, who presided at the births of hundreds of babies here and who was a greatly beloved and esteemed man, died in 1923. The family home was at 701 Park.
