In 2015, an attempt was made to locate a marker for Sarah Elizabeth Brooke. The volunteer walked the cemetery attempting to locate a marker, but could not. Particular attention was given to the Brooke plot where her husband's marker stands, but nothing specific could be found for her. The marker for her husband does indicate that it is for "J. M. Brooke and Family," so we must conclude that there is no individual marker for Sarah.

Sarah Elizabeth Stegall married James Madison Brooke, 19 Aug 1841, in Cherokee Co., GA. They had 10 known children.
