"Mrs. Mary Anne(sic) MacDonough, 39, wife of James A. MacDonough, 224 Nixon Street, died at the Biloxi Hospital at 3 a.m. She was a native of Biloxi and is survived by her husband, a brother, A. J. Swansine, Biloxi; and two sisters, Mrs. Jake Kornman, Biloxi, and Mrs. Dewitt Burdine, Biloxi, and other relatives. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Bradford Parlors with services to be conducted under the auspices of the Church of the Nativity, with interment in the Biloxi cemetery."

At the cemetery the American Legion Auxiliary also conducted a funeral ritual. Pallbearers were Lawrence Previto, Charles Westbrook, Jake Kornman, Jr., Morris Wilkes, Dewey Lawrence and Anthony Jelusich.
