"MRS. MacDONOUGH DIES"
"Mrs. Mary Anne(sic) MacDonough, 39, wife of James A. MacDonough, 224 Nixon Street, died at the Biloxi Hospital at 3 a.m. She was a native of Biloxi and is survived by her husband, a brother, A. J. Swansine, Biloxi; and two sisters, Mrs. Jake Kornman, Biloxi, and Mrs. Dewitt Burdine, Biloxi, and other relatives. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Bradford Parlors with services to be conducted under the auspices of the Church of the Nativity, with interment in the Biloxi cemetery."

"The funeral of Mrs. Mary Anne MacDonough was held Sunday afternoon from the Bradford Parlors with services by Father W. J. Leech, pastor of the Church of the Nativity, at the parlors and cemetery. At the cemetery the American Legion Auxiliary also conducted a funeral ritual. Pallbearers were Lawrence Previto, Charles Westbrook, Jake Kornman, Jr., Morris Wilkes, Dewey Lawrence and Anthony Jelusich. The following relatives and friends from out of town were in attendance: Mrs. John Brocan and daughter Joyce from Pecos, Tex.; Mr. and Mrs. John Kent and children Junior, Anna Ruth, Doris, Donald and Marcecelline; Mrs. Kate Feeley; Mrs. George Hough and baby John; Mrs. Sol Pepper, Mrs. Pat Casey, Mrs. May Kent, Mrs. Al Dusang, Mr. and Mrs. John Schluter and sister, Rita; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Garrie, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reems, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood, Mrs. Frank Kent and daughter Gladys, Miss Beulah Stone, Eddie Carrol, Harold Pluche, F. Eagen, all of New Orleans; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Odell of Mobile; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cain and baby, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Mattice, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Quigley, Mr. and Mrs Maurice Wiltz, all of Gulfport; Mr. and Mrs. Willie Spooner, Long Beach; Mrs Louise Ucellin, Seattle, Wash.
Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Records, Book 27, pg 90: Mary Ann was 38 years, 5 months, 17 days old when she died from "post operation complications of operation 5/3/39, abdominal stitch abcess". She lived at 224 Nixon St. She was the daughter of Joseph Swansine of Austria and Mary Mickletich of Biloxi.
