Mrs. Alvin Rabe, 49, of the town of Schleswig, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, at her farm home. Though she had been ill for several months, death was unexpected and sudden. Nee Helene Vogel, she was born Dec. 7, 1903, in the town of Eden, the daughter of the late Fred and Lena Dedering Vogel. She was married on Sept. 17, 1928, to Alvin Rabe, town of Schleswig. For the past 16 years they have lived on their present farm near Wilke's Lake.
Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Jeannette, at home; four sons, Everett, with the U. S. Army in Okinawa, Kenneth, Ronald and Alvin Jr., all at home; and three brothers, Alvin, town of Eden, Walter of St. Nazianz, and Arno, town of Schleswig.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the St. Peter's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Kiel. The Rev. E. L. Worthman will officiate and burial will be made in the Rockville cemetery.
