Charles Bonjour of Rush Township, near Apple River, Jo Daviess County, passed away at a local hospital at 9 o'clock last evening, his death being caused by pneumonia, of which he had been ill only a short time. Besides his wife, Mrs. Laura Kinny Bonjour he leaves five children, Freeman, Roy, Walter and Clarence, at home and Mrs. Lillian Grebner of Apple River.
He was born in Rush in August 1862 and died at the age of 61 years and 5 months. He was married to Miss Laura Kinny about 35 years ago, and five children were born to them. He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Modern Woodmen of America.
He had farmed near Apple River and was well known in that community. The remains are to be taken to Apple River today and interment will be made in the Apple River Cemetery.
