George Granville Anderson was born August 21, 1889 in Peoria, Peoria County, Illinois. He married Alma Knoche February 26, 1913 in Naperville. They were the parents of a daughter Lorraine and a son Leslie. He was a police officer and was appointed Chief of Police of Naperville on May 22, 1915 and served in that position for several years. He then went to work as a steamfitter. He was raised a Master Mason in Euclid Lodge June 12, 1914. He died November 22, 1948 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and was buried in the Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois.
