GERALD DYSERT's first wife, Betty Shirk, died in 1947. They had one son, Larry.

His second wife is WILMA HERBERT.

OBITUARY
RICHWOOD -- Gerald L. Dysert, age 87, of rural Richwood, died Tuesday afternoon March 23, 2004, at Heartland of Marysville.

He was born March 23, 1917, in Union County, to the late John Williard and Delphia (Fields) Dysert.

Gerald was a retired farmer, 1937 graduate of the Byhalia High School, member of the former Grace Chapel United Methodist Church, he attended the Community United Methodist Church in York Center. He enjoyed gardening, talking on the CB Radio and wintering in Florida.

On Sept. 8, 1950, in LaRue, he married Wilma D. (Marsh) and she survives.

Also surviving is one son, Larry (Janet) Dysert of Richwood; grandchildren, Roger Dysert, Jeffrey Dysert and April Keiffer; great-grandchildren, Alicia Dysert, Kayla Dysert, Colton Dysert, Evan Keiffer and Jenna Keiffer.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty (Shirk) whom he married in 1940 and she died in 1947, one brother, Ralph Dysert and one sister, Gertrude Gamble.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. at the Stofcheck Funeral Home in Richwood where friends may call Friday from 4-7 p.m. Minister will be the Rev. Roger Gordon. Burial will be in the Price Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Union County Fire and EMS Association.
