"PROMINENT FARMER DIES VERY SUDDENLY - John Dennis of Athens Township Passes Away From Heart Disease - John Dennis, one of the best known farmers in eastern Crawford, died very suddenly at his home about two and one-half miles west of Centerville at 3:45 o'clock Saturday afternoon. The deceased had been complaining a great deal of heart trouble for some time and it is thought that he was stricken with this dread disease. He was 74 years of age. Mr Dennis was born at China, Cattaraugus, NY, and moved in to Bloomfield township about twenty years ago. On Jan 1, 1908, he moved onto the farm in Athens township where his death occurred. Besides his widow, the following children survive: Mrs A M Wiley, Mrs Etta M Holton, Benjamin Dennis of Sturgis Corners; John of Centerville; Mrs Elvira Clayton of Union City; Mrs Lillian Babcock of Jamestown, NY; Mrs Milo Wilkins and Mrs Paul Marshall of Meadville. The deceased was a member of the U P church of Union City and a man the news of whose death is received with heartfelt sorrow wherever he was known."
