The Rev. Fr. Peter Joseph Aarden of Bagley, nine days short of his silver Jubilee in the priesthood, died here yesterday at a local hospital after being confined there for three weeks.
Pneumonia following a major operation was the reported to have caused his death.
The son of Marinum Aarden and Gerdina Klisters, he was born August 12, 1888 at Nistelroden, Holland and received his education abroad.
He was assistant at Sacred Heart church in East Grand Forks in 1924 and 1925 and was pastor of St. John's Church at Georgetown, Minnesota from 1925 to 1948 when he was transferred to Bagley.
