BALDWIN CITY--the funeral for Clarence B. Pippenger, 84, Baldwin City, who died Saturday, June 10, 1995 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dengel and Son Mortuary, with the Rev. Ron Goodman officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

He was born Oct. 19, 1910 to Daniel C. and Susie (Miller) Pippenger at Blue Mound. He had lived in Baldwin City since 1970 when he moved from Ottawa. He worked as a night engineer for Bennett Creamery of Ottawa for 24 years. He also worked for the City of Baldwin for two years. He worked for Baker University for 17 years in the maintenance department.

On Aug 30, 1930, he married Frances Jean Moody at Tauy Church in Franklin County. He was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lyle Pippenger; two sisters, Ethel Pippenger and Beulah Thorton; a brother Milton Pippenger, and a nephew, Bud Pippenger.
