Reportedly, the first Brixey in the American colonies, emigrating on July 6, 1773. He arrived in Philadelphia on August 31, 1773 after sailing across the Atlantic on the Sally Snow. He served as an indentured servant. He was later granted property in Burke County, North Carolina. He married Rachael Roseanna Mackie in 1779. They were blessed with Thomas (born between 1780-1781), John (born September 12, 1781) and Janet "Jane" Brixey (born about 1783). He apparently died or drowned on a return trip to England between 1784 and 1789 and his resting place is the Atlantic Ocean. The Brixey name is carried on by many, many, many descendants.
