Mr. Fitzpatrick worked as a flour miller at Salina for more than 20 years and served as secretary of the Grain Miller's Union. He was also owner and operator of the Ninth Street Dairy Queen from 1966 until retiring in 1986. He attended Belmont Boulevard Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and a former church board president, Sunday school teacher and lay pastor at Church of God.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Iris, in 1998; and an infant son, Harold James, in 1945. Survivors included a son, Ray L.; a daughter, Linda Wiens; a brother, L. Earl; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
