A teacher most of her life, Miss Crahan retired in June 1965, after 20 years as superintendent of Hines School, where she had taught 35 years.
She was born in Brimfield, a daughter of John F. and Johanna Grace Crahan.
She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church; American Association of University Women; Alpha Delta Kappa sorority; Pi Lambda Theta, national honor and professional association for women in education; the National Retired Teachers Association and Lakeview Center.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Josephine McKown of Elmwood, two nephews and three nieces.
Three brothers and three sisters, John F., Miss Ida, Miss Mayme, Mrs. Mabel Cullen, Matthew and Carl, preceded her in death.
Services were held in Wilton Mortuary and in St. Cecilia Church.
Rev. James Morrissey officiated and burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Brimfield.
