Mrs. Bertha Kriston Succumbs in Hospital
Mrs. Bertha Kriston of Twin Rocks died on Friday afternoon, August 19th, at Mercy Hospital in Johnstown. The 75 year old area resident had been a patient in the hospital for two months.
A daughter of Mathia and Elizabeth (Kriston)Vizi, she was born in Hungary in January 1880. She had been a resident of Twin Rocks for the past 43 years.
Mrs. Kriston was preceded in death by a son Ernest. She is survived by her husband, John Sr. of Twin Rocks and two sons, John of Cardiff and Tebo of Twin Rocks. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren.
The deceased was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Twin Rocks and the Hungarian Reformed Society.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning in St. Charles Catholic church by Fr. John Callen. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery.
