Services for Rufus Lee Abernathy, 49, Greenbrier farmer, were conducted Thursday morning at the Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member.
The Rev. Floyd Carroll and the Rev. George Pope officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
Abernathy died Tuesday night at his home, after a long illness.
He was a native of Robertson County, son of the late Tavison and Callie Hazlewood Abernathy.
He is survived by a brother, Charles Abernathy of Springfield; two sisters, Miss Ida Abernathy of Greenbrier and Mrs. Ollie G. Binkley of Lynville, TN.
