Estes, Floyd Dale, Sr., age 59, of Fultondale, died September 29, 1997*. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Harbin Estes. President of FOP Lodge 59 and American Legion Post 255. He was a Mason, Shriner, and member of the Lions Club. He was a member of the ACA, APOA, and NRA. He was a retired Chief of Police of North Pole, Alaska. He was involved in law enforcement for over 30 years. An honor graduate of Troy State University. He was an honorable discharged veteran with 18 years of service. Pending retirement from the Alabama Board of Pardons and Parole. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Bill Lindsey officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. [Survivors Omitted] Gardendale Chapel directing.
