He was born in Flomot, Texas, on Jan. 26, 1921, to C.L. and Tommie Smith. He served in World War II and was a member of I.B.E.W, Electrical Union, for 55 years.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Geneva; a daughter, Marzella Harris of Little Elm, Texas; a son, Rynn Smith of Lubbock; three grandchildren, David English of Wolfforth, Rendy Morale of Little Elm, Rachel Smith of Lubbock; and three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Dylan and Lacey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. Arrangements are with Resthaven Funeral Home.
