Gregory J. Geise, 71, died at 11:30 o'clock last night at his home on the Geise road, Bennington, a week after he had returned from St. Jerome's Hospital, Batavia, where he had been a surgical patient for two weeks. Death was due to heart disease.
Mr. Geise was born at Bennington on February 6, 1863, a son of the late William and Elizabeth T. Geise and had spent his whole life in this vicinity.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Fuest Geise, Mr. Geise is survived by four sons, Leo and Francis, at home, Raymond of Bennington, and Jerome of Attica and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Mohr of Allegany.
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at Our Lady Help of Christian Church, East Bennington, with the Rev, Joseph Stephen officiating. Burial will be in the East Bennington Cemetery.
