Funeral services for Etta Virginia Hicks, 85, of Grenada, are at 10 a.m. Friday at National Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery at Rosebloom.

Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at National Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hicks died June 17, 2008, at Grenada Lake Medical Center. She was born Sept. 30, 1922, to the late John and Emily Edwards.

Mrs. Hicks was a member of the First Assembly of God in Grenada and a retired inspector with Pennaco Hosiery Mill.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Larry V. Hicks; a brother, A. Edwards; a sister, Lucille Crouch; and a grandson, Glenn Shannon Hicks.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil Leon Hicks of Grenada; a daughter, Rose Marie Pilkington of Mayo, Fla.; two sons, Benny Hicks and James Hicks, both of Grenada; two sisters, Rebecca Lancaster of Houston, Miss. and Peggy Coppock of Memphis; a brother, Douglas Edwards of Byhalia, Miss.; and seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

National Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
