Mr. Joel Stephens Eads, age 80, passed away Saturday morning, June 11th in the Monticello Clinic Hospital following an illness of several months.
Survivors include his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Jiles Parmley of Rogers Grove and Mrs. Clarence Ramsey of Monticello, and several grandchildren. One son, Elbert Eads preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 12th at 2:30 p.m. at the Parmley's Grove Church at Eadsville with Bro. Isaac Hucaby and Bro. James Hutchinson officiating.
Pallbearers were: Leonard Turner, Bill Buster, Frankie Hatfield, Junior York, Glen Twyford, and Earl Hatfield. Burial was in the Elk Spring Cemetery with the Richard Lee Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
