Maude Bain Duvall was born in Washington about 1874, the daughter of Edmond J. & Julia R. (Bain) Duvall. She was married three times: 1) William Eugene Crist (1891), 2) Lt. Robert W. Lesher (1905), 3) Clyde Gray West (1914). By her first marriage she had one child, Evelyn Belle Crist. Until her marriage to Robert Lesher she had been a stage actress (as "Maude Du Val"), best known in the lead role in "Beauty and the Beast". She was described as having both a beautiful voice and personal beauty.
