Leona Denke Clarin, age 67, of Circle, Mon., was called home on Friday, Aug.1, 1997 in (near) Jordan, Mont.
Leona was born on March 30, 1930, the fourth child born to Jacob and Emma Deke on the family farm 11 miles north of Quinn, S.D. Sje was raised and attended school in the area and graduated from the Qyuinn Public School. During Leona's adult life she was employed at the Bank of Wall and served as a Customer Service Representative at West Riveer Electric for several years in Wall, S,D,
It was wile living in Wall that Leona met Donald Clarin. They were united in marriage on July 4, 1963. To this union, two children were born, Corda Laine and Donita. In 1970 , Don and Leona adopted a son, Garth.
Leona is survived by her husbabd Don of Circle, her children, Corda Laine of Crown Point, N.M., Donita of Billings, Mont., and Garth and his wife Tanua and their two children, Kenny and Miranada of Billings. She is also survived by four btothers, Edwin and his wife Amy of Grants Pass, Ore., Ervin and his wife Phyllis of Hot Springs, S.D., Elmer and his wife Faye and Benny and his wife Bert of Rapid City, S.D., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug 4, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. in the First Lutheran Church in Circle with Pastor Dunbar officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held on Tuesday, Aug 5, 1997, at 1 p.m. in the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D. Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home of Miles City is in charge of the arrangements.
