Omar Norman Spain, Jr., graduated from the United States Naval Academy in the Class of 1935. He served in WW II on the heavy cruisers, USS Chicago, CA-29, and USS Wichita, CA-45, and the Essex class aircraft carrier, USS Lexington, CV-16, the "Blue Ghost." He was promoted to Commander in March, 1944.

Gravesite Details

Note: Section 6 is very hilly and the numbers are not all sequential. Omar and Nancy are right on the boundary with Section 7 at the end of the axis with the Tomb of the Unknowns. You can also see the Washington monument from the site.
