Paul M. Rothgeb
Mr. Paul M. Rothgeb, 75 of 15 W. Seventh Ave., South Williamsport, died, Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at the Williamsport Hospital & Medical Center. Mr. Rothgeb retired in 1990, from the former Northern Central Bank. Mr. Rothgeb was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had served in the Navy for many years. He was the recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Area Campaign Medal. He was also a member of the Eugene Grafius American Legion Post #104, Montoursville. Mr. Rothgeb was a member of Lodge #106, F.& A.M., Williamsport. Mr. Rothgeb had been active in Little League Baseball and had been an umpire for many years. He was also the Assistant District Administrator for District 12, Pa., Little League Baseball. He was a graduate of the McKinley High School, Washington, D.C. Born at Washington, D.C., July 31, 1928, he was the son of the late Harry M. and Naomi Elizabeth France Rothgeb. He and his wife, the former Alice Coulson, observed their 40th wedding anniversary this past Sept. 8. Surviving in addition to his wife Alice C. Rothgeb, of South Williamsport, are five daughters, Julie Murray (Richard Jr.) of Montoursville, Lorri Mas (Anthony) of Reston, Va., Paula Gore (the Rev. Ronald) of Bassett, Va., Susan Thomas of Manassas, Va., and Andrea Jones (Mark) of Colora, Md.; one son, Timothy S. Rothgeb of Williamsport; 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a niece, Joan Hackley of Culpepper, Va. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin sisters, Betty and Charlotte, and his daughter, Shannon Paige Rothgeb. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, One E. Central Ave., South Williamsport. Pastor Lou Dichiacchio, former pastor of the Independent Baptist Bible Church of Montoursville will officiate. Interment with full honors accorded by the U.S. military, will be private at the convenience of the family, at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington Va. Relatives and friends may call at the Charles M. Noll Funeral Home, Thursday from noon until the time of service. The family will provide the flowers. Contributions in memory of Mr. Paul M. Rothgeb, may be made, if so desired, to Montoursville Little League, Post Office Box 237, Montoursville, PA 17754, or to the charity of the donors choice.
