Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Bennie Lee Kennedy Ross, 87 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Covington County Nursing Center in Collins.

Reverend Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Mrs. Ross was born on August 27, 1930 in Magee, Mississippi. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Ross was the retired owner and operator of the Cut & Curl Beauty Shop in Collins. She worked for over forty years in the Beauty Industry before her retirement. Mrs. Ross was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collins, and the Collins Red Hat Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Alexander Kennedy and Bertha Sellers Kennedy; her daughter, Cheryl Ross Aultman; five brothers, R.M. Kennedy, James M. Kennedy, Woodrow Kennedy, Richard Kennedy, and Wayne Kennedy; and one sister, Grace Kennedy Hogan.

Survivors include two sons, George T. “Tommy” Ross and his wife, Reba of Collins, and Terry Wayne Ross and his wife, Cat of Murphy, North Carolina; three grandchildren, Sharon Leigh Ross, Margie Johnson, and Leigh Ann Aultman Green; three great-grandchildren, Ryan Green, Ashley Johnson, and Caleb Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
