Obituary - Kaysville--Ray Lloyd Hall, beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, age 85, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 1999 in Bountiful, Utah.

He was born October 10, 1913, in Easton, Kansas, the son of Daniel Boone and Elizabeth Kelly Hall. He married Carolyn Louise Benson on November 2, 1935, in Leavenworth, Kansas. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on August 14, 1950. She passed away October 5, 1991.

Ray was reared and educated in Kansas. He spent his early years as a farmer in Jarbalo, Kansas, moving to Farmington, Utah in 1952. In 1985, the family moved to Kaysville and were active members of the Kaysville LDS 3rd Ward. Ray had served as a member of the Stake Mission Presidency, in the Bishopric, and in the Young Men's Presidency. Together with his wife, he served a mission to Australia and to Hiram, Ohio.

Ray worked 15 years for the North Salt Lake Stockyard and retired as a warehouseman for the Davis School District. He loved fishing with his wife.

Surviving are a son and two daughters: Earl Wayne (Lorraine) Hall, West Point; Shirley Ann (Gail) Stahle, Bountiful; and Lana (Hank) Emery, Kaysville; 18 grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Thelma (Arthur) Grafe, Lansing, Kansas; Helen (Clifton) Lowe, Leavenworth, Kansas; and a sister-in-law, Helen Hall-Gnip, Leavenworth, Kansas. Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; parents; three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 13, 1999, at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville Third Ward LDS Chapel, 855 E. Mutton Hollow Road. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main, and on Saturday, at the church from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Kaysville 3rd Ward High Priest Group for their care and concern, and also to the South Davis Community Hospital for their care and devotion.
