Her tombstone reads "Amy wife of E. Palmer". After the death of her husband, Elihu Palmer, she lived with her son, John Runion Palmer and daughter-in-law, Martha Jacobs-Palmer. Her son, John Runion Palmer, was a Methodist circuit rider and eventually serviced a church in Gandy, Logan Co, Nebraska as a circuit rider. Her father was James Armstrong b. 1789 in PA and mother, Rebecca Stiles-Armstrong b. 1789 Laurens Co, SC. Both her mother and father died in Indiana.

Her husband, Elihu Palmer, b. 05 Nov 1805 in Laurens, SC, d. 16 Jan 1875 and is buried in Shrock Cemetery, Sullivan Co., Missouri along with his mother, Frances "Fannie" Stiles-Palmer and his brother Joshua Palmer.
