Antonio "Tony" Costantini, 93, Garvey Manor Nursing Home,
He was born in Tornareccio, Province of Chieti, Italy,
son of Pasquale and Fiorena (D'Eramo) Costantini.
Surviving are two nieces:
Diane Lund and husband, Robert,
and Sandra Streeter and Barry, all of Orange County, Calif.;
and a close friend, Jim Folcarelli and wife, Linda, of Altoona.
He was preceded in death by two brothers:
James and Albert;
and two sisters: Benita and Beatrice.
Tony was a 1938 graduate of Altoona High School.
He served as a sergeant in the 318th Bomb Squadron of the U.S. Army in WWII.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Tony was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. He also belonged to the Park Hills Country Club and the Cesare Battisti Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and gardening.
Tony also loved to here my bowling scores.
He said they were good but you cant go with good you have to be better But he said they were good for a woman
I just laughed he was funny and he told me how to get strikes but that never seem to work I just liked talking to him about the scores he was fun.
